Nendo's contribution to the Madame Cliquot Charity Exhibition, an art show organized by champagne maker Veuve Cliquot.
The design for this bud vase came from the fabled clarity and fine bubbles of company founder Mme. Cliquot's champagne, both said to have been revolutionary for the time. We exposed the inside of the acrylic three-dimensionally to a laser to create fine air bubbles in the material, and imitated the silhouette of a flower vase from Mme. Cliquot's time. Champagne facilitates communication, so the vase also conveys the image of new ideas and connections flowering through conversation.
