This bookshelf’s radial array of uprights makes it seem “warped”, as though one is looking through a wide-angle lens. Depending on their placement, books can show off their covers as well as their spines, which opens up new possibilities for display, and alternating bookshelves in a row creates a wave pattern. The radial arrangement strengthens the bookshelf structurally, making a backboard unnecessary and allowing the bookshelf’s grid to frame different views, depending on where the viewer is standing.
