for Cappellini

Ivy, “tuta” in Japanese, grows by clinging onto and encircling the exterior surface of trees and buildings. The tuta coat rack loses the materiality of the base structure, leaving only an outline that seems to float in space. A lighting fixture and a lampshade inside makes it seem as though the vines are growing up around light itself.
