for Megane Top

An optical frame case for “zerogra”, a Megane-Ichiba eyeglass made with a titanium frame in a single-body construction. It was not easy to fold compactly into a small size unlike normal eyeglasses, and had to be housed into a large case by first securing it with an elastic band. Using the tendency of the structure of the frame to extend outwards, we came up with a ring-shaped design for the case. When the eyeglass is put in through the wide open hole the eyeglass will become naturally firmly positioned owing to the repulsion of the frame. Compared to the existing zerogra case, the hole in the centre made it look not so large in size, and no longer required the need to secure with elastic bands or open and close the lids of the cases.
